UNDERGROUND calling

... good news from good old Vienna, or London, depends on how you look at it. Since I don't really think it makes sense to pretend that Marios Schwab or Peter Pilotto are part of the "Austrian fashion scene" (whatever it may be, whoever may want to be part of it and wherever it may take place), I think it's all the more interesting to hear that WENDY & JIM, no strangers to returning readers of ParisVienne, will showcase their autumn/winter 2011 collection UNDERGROUND in London. Sounds like a perfect match, right? The venue promises to be really interesting: THE OLD VIC TUNNELS is performance space beneath Waterloo station (just perfect for travellers arriving from Paris, then...) which was opened for the premiere of Banksy's Exit Through the Gift Shop. Be there or be square on Feb 22, 4 pm - 8 pm at 35 St Martins Street WC2 ...

... à votre avis, ça fait du sens de compter Marios Schwab ou encore Peter Pilotto parmi les créateurs appartenant à la mode autrichienne ? Et encore, la mode autrichienne, qu'est-ce que c'est ? Parfois on se demande, n'est-ce pas. De toute façon, si AUSTRIAN FASHION il y a, c'est le duo Wendy & Jim qui est sans aucun doute parmi les plus illustres représentants de cette scène créative - Hermann et Helga seront à Londres mardi prochain pour y présenter leur collection automne/hiver 2011 intitulée UNDERGROUND - @ The Vic Tunnels, 35 St Martins Street WC2, le 22 février de 16 heures à 20 heures ...
