... faithful to the tradition of ARTSY FASHION that has been reigning in Vienna since the olden days of WIENER WERKSTÄTTE, fashion professor Bernhard Willhelm courageously delved into the local art scene to look for inspiration (cf. his collaboration with Siggi Hofer on the occasion of Siggi's last exhibition) and a potential playground for his students. Latest result: work by fashion students will be staged in an art performance by GELITIN in Mayer Kainer gallery (the gallery represents both gelitin AND Siggi Hofer, by the way ...) on Tuesday March 8 at 7.30 pm. Should be funny, so check it out (still, I can only wonder what exactly his students make of such performances and whether the whole thing isn't a trifle too trashy - who knows. I'll go there and check out the performance, afterwards I shall know more) ...

... le charismatique et jeune (et attirant, pourquoi pas) prof de mode à l'Université des Arts Appliqués à Vienne, BERNHARD WILLHELM, n'a jamais caché son penchant pour le monde de l'art. Il a donc par exemple collaboré avec Siggi Hofer lors de la dernière exposition de celui-là, il a déjà proposé à ses étudiants de présenter leurs travaux dans une galerie l'année dernière. Et voyez-vous bien, on en a l'habitude, à Vienne, non, grâce à WIENER WERKSTÄTTE bien sûr, mais aussi à cause de la grande affinité avec l'art dont témoignent pas mal de jeunes créateurs. Quoi qu'il en soit, Mr. WILLHELM a invité le (très drôle, il faut le dire) collectif GELITIN pour mettre en scène de façon PERFORMATIVE (oh la...) quelques collections réalisées par des étudiants. Ça pourrait devenir assez amusant, on verra (galerie Meyer Kainer, 8 mars à 19 heures 30)...

... nel suo secondo anno come professore all'Università delle Arti Applicate di Vienna, BERNHARD WILLHELM continua con la sua proposizione d'avvicinare mutualmente l'arte e la moda. L'ha già fatto l'anno scorso, quandi i suoi studenti hanno presentato i loro lavori in una galleria (ed i lavori ricordavano piuttosto installazioni d'arte che ciò che fosse di moda...), l'ha fatto anche quando ha collaborato con l'artista sudtirolese SIGGI HOFER per cui ha scelto i vestiti indossati nel poster dell'ultima mostra di Siggi, e adesso pare che abbia chiesto al colettivo d'arte GELITIIN di creare una PERFORMANCE (ah, la sola parola...) per la messinscena di creazioni, mmmmmh, di moda (?) dai suoi studenti. La performance avrà luogo nella galleria MEYER KAINER l'8 marzo alle 19.30 ...
