... one of the world's most important fashion festivals, the FESTIVAL DE LA MODE ET DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE in Hyères, France, just published the shortlist of ten designers that will participate in this year's edition of the festival at the end of April. Contrarily to previous years, when young designers from Vienna seemed to occupy an prominent spot on the radar of juroy members, no Austrian fashion label has been chosen for the final. Interesting detail: the fashion platform NOT JUST A LABEL once more reveals itself as one of the true hot-spots for everyone looking for fresh talent. Designer MICHAEL KAMPE from Germany is part of the NJAL racing team. And of course, NJAL is absolutely noteworthy in fashion award terms since it is the official partner in the upcoming edition of the astronomically well-backed MANGO fashion award EL BOTON and co-hosts the selection process of finalists over there ...

... je viens de recevoir la liste des finalistes de la prochaine édition du FESTIVAL DE LA MODE ET DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE à Hyères, à la fin du mois d'avril. Le jury, qui comprend des membres aussi bien-connus que Raf Simons, Carla Sozzani (la sœur de Franca, bien sûr, et fondatrice de 10 CORSO COMO à Milan...), Cathy Horyn et Tim Blanks, a selectionné dix jeunes créateurs, parmi lesquels se trouvent les Françaises Juliette Alleaume et Marie Vival, Céline Méteil et Léa Peckre. Ce que je trouve tout à fait intéressant, c'est le rôle que joue le site/la plate-forme NOT JUST A LABEL dans le contexte de la jeune scène internationale. Non seulement représentent-ils le jeune Allemand Michael Kampe, sélectionnée pour la finale de Hyères 2011, mais ils ont aussi été annoncés par MANGO comme partenaire officiel de la prochaine édition de EL BOTÓN - MANGO FASHION AWARD. Et cela, c'est quand même formidable ...

... ho appena ricevuto la lista dei finalisti nella prossima edizione del festival della moda e della fotografia a Hyères, che avrà luogo alla fine di aprile. La giuria (alla quale appartiene anche CARLA SOZZANI, fondatrice di 10 CORSO COMO ovviamente) ha selezionato dieci giovani talenti, tra i quali nessun designer italiano, sfortunatamente. Ciò che a me mi pare affascinante è il ruolo che gioca nel contesto internazionale - a proposito dei PREMI DI MODA, voglio dire - il sito NOT JUST A LABEL con sede a Londra. Non solo sono attualmente partner di MANGO nella programmazione dell'ultima edizione del MANGO FASHION AWARD EL BOTON, rappresentano anche il giovane talento MICHAEL KAMPE che è anche uno dei finalisti del premio di Hyères. Sorprendentemente incontornabile, questo sito, no? ...
