brandnew, and available for pre-order online from April 1st: the 500 BY GUCCI

... Milan, the kick-off of Milan fashion week, celebs galore, and a little engine-driven surprise prepared by the house of GUCCI. An all-Italian dream project, the 500 BY GUCCI was presented yesterday (online pre-orders start on April 1 on this site). Hmpf. First thing, I prefer the original Cinquecento of course, but that doesn't really have anything to do with it. Second thing, the fashion car, not exactly a novelty (just remember the one-off creations by the American designers invited to last year's edition of LIFE BALL in Vienna), why exactly would anyone feel the need to drive it? Wouldn't you prefer to own a pair of Gucci shoes, and drive a "regular" Fiat 500? But we all know that there's no accounting for taste. Anyhow, should you not want to get the entire car, a pair of 500 by Gucci loafers would probably also do the trick. Should be a little cheaper...

... lors du début de la semaine de la mode à Milan, hier, lancement de la nouvelle 500 BY GUCCI, une version "styled up" de la voiture pourtant assez mignonne et un projet entièrement italien. Bon. Déjà, faut-il le dire, je préfère la version originale de la 500, c'est clair. Et puis ensuite, je ne comprends pas tout à fait pourquoi des gens pourraient se voir incités à acheter une VOITURE-MODE. Vous ne préférez pas acheter une pochette de la maison de mode, et une voiture "normale" de la marque de voitures ? Non ? C'est probablement encore moi qui n'ai rien comrpis ...

... prima serata della SETTIMANA DELLA MODA a Milano, presentazione della nuova 500 BY GUCCI, un progetto realizzato dalla Fiat insieme alla casa Gucci. Okay. Mica male, mica brutto. Ma pratico? Non lo so. Le scarpe che fanno parte del congiunto dei prodotti presentati, al limite, mi potrebbero piacere. Ma la macchina, non lo so. E ancora, la MACCHINA DI MODA, il veicolo-fashionista, ha una lunga tradizione. Ultimo esempio che mi viene in testa: la MINI disegnata da Calvin Klein per l'ultima edizione del LIFE BALL a Vienna. Bo'. Non è infatti la Cinquecento originale la macchina più splendida a cui si possa pensare? Ma suppongo che dobbiamo andare coi tempi che cambiano ...
