image courtesy of Katarina Noever (depicted herein)... some weeks ago I met up with the wonderful woman that is Katarina Noever, former model, design expert and shop owner, communicative supporter of contemporary music etc. She really is quite an outstanding personality in the Viennese cultural landscape, and she has been just that since the 1960s. Anyhow, the historical museum of the City of Vienna, Wien Museum, currently hosts a fashion exhibition focussing on Mrs Noever's fashion collection (my review of the exhibition, in German, here), and as part of the side programme a special kind of flea market with extravagant specimens of 60s and 70s fashion provided by Ulla Holzbauer and Elisabeth Pichler-Campos will take place this upcoming weekend, on February 25 and 26 at Wien Museum on Karlsplatz ...
photo: Roland Pleterski/WestLicht/AnzenbergerAgency... il y a donc quelques semaines déjà que j'ai rencontré la femme tout à fait extraordinaire qu'est Katarina Noever, ancien mannequin, propriétaire d'une boutique spécialisée dans le design, experte en communication au service de la musique contemporaine etc etc etc. Madame Noever est un personnage remarquable, un cas à part au sein du paysage culturel viennois depuis les années 60. Bref, cela a été un grand honneur de rencontrer Madame Noever et d'aller voir l'exposition actuellement en vue au Wien Museum qui se nourrit de sa collection de mode (mon compte rendu, en allemand, ici), et je voudrais donc vous signaler, au cas où vous serez à Vienne le week-end prochain, qu'un marché aux puces extraordinaire va avoir lieu le 25 et 26 février dans le cadre de l'expo - deux amies de Katharina Noever, Ulla Holzbauer et Elisabeth Pichler-Campos, vendront des vêtement choisis des années 60 et 70, au-delà du conventionnel, comme on nous annonce ...
